Beautiful Baby

I want to welcome everyone to another weekly challenge. I'm Sharon, from Designs by Sharon, and I'll be your hostess for the next two weeks. I want to say that I am happy that you are visiting us today, and I hope you get some inspiration from our super talented design team!  I want to thank everyone who played along in last weeks challenge: Frame It! We just loved looking at all the creative entries.

So, without further ado, the reveal to this week's challenge: 'Beautiful Baby'.  For this weeks challenge, we want to see you create a baby-theme paper craft item, card, project, or scrapbook page.  There are a few requirements for this challenge, tho.  To be consider one of our top picks, you must include kraft card stock, trim (lace, ribbon, crochet trim, etc), and at least one button.  We all can't wait to see what creative and beautiful samples you submit.  So, check out what the design team has created for this challenge.  I hope it inspires you!

Au Naturel With a Twist Winners

It's time again to unveil the winners of our challenge which ended last Friday, Au Naturel With a Twist.  We had such a yummy batch of lovelies submitted for our challenge and a couple of really nice guy-type cards too!  Thanks so much to all of you who joined in the monochromatic fun with us.  It was such a pleasure looking through all the submissions as the design team went through the process to choose the winners. Here are our choices:

This week our Top Talent award goes to Carla Suto of Carla's Stamping Spot

The simple elegance of this card fits the challenge perfectly.  Carla's use of light neutrals, the perfect designer paper and that beautiful lace and button make this card an absolute winner.  Her neutral color choices are gorgeous together.  Lovely work, Carla!  Congratulations and please feel free to pick up your Top Talent winner badge from our sidebar.  We look forward to having you as a guest designer and will be in touch shortly.

And here are three more lovelies that our team picked as this week's Talented Trio:

Hilda from Cut-n-Craft
We loved the corrugated card board  and all the beautiful shabby touches.  Great layout and fabulous way to include a sentiment. That lace is positively drool-worthy!

Sheri from My Sheri Cards
We loved Sherri's layout and those wonderful pearls - beautiful but not overdone.  Beautiful stamped main image.  The lace and the flower are the prefect finishing touches.

  Dani from Paulette's Papers

Dani offered us a perfect vintage beauty.  We loved the carmel shades she used for the card background and also for the stamping.  That wise lace and shabby ribbon just finish it off so beautifully!

Congratulations ladies.  Hope you will pick up the Talented Trio awared badge off our sidebar and display it proudly.   And thanks to everyone for sharing your beautiful work with us here at Our Creative Corner.

And don't forget about our current challenge which runs through Friday, May 27th.   It's called Frame It!  We want to see your 3-D popped up frame.  Hope to see you soon.

Frame It!

Hello and welcome back to another weekly challenge with Our Creative Corner.  It's Linda with you again this week, hosting our challenge.  We're so glad you are visiting us today and hope we can provide some inspiration for your crafting this week!  We love to have you visit and love it even more when you play along with our challenge.  We want to thank all who joined in our Au Naturel challenge last week and hope that you found it a fun and inspiring challenge.

Are you ready for this week's challenge?  It's Frame It!   This week, we want to see you create a frame out of cardstock, chipboard or any other medium you can think of and add it to your card, page or project. The frame should be 3-D and raised up off the background.  We're sure you're going to give us a lot of beautiful samples to drool over.  And we have some inspiration to get you started.   Check out what our design team has done for this challenge.

The Wonder of Weaving Challenge Winners

Happy Wednesday! This morning we have the results of our latest challenge, the Wonder of Weaving. As always, the DT loved all of the entries (you guys are the best!) and we can't wait to announce our Top Talent.

Our challenge winner is...

This was a unanimous choice by the DT! We all completely loved the innovative way in which she incorporated the weaving. The distressing and embossing add to the realism of the pie. A perfect idea with perfect execution!

Congratulations! Please take the Top Talent badge from our sidebar to display on your blog. We can't wait to have you as a Guest Designer!

Next up is our Talented Trio:

The DT loved Carla's simple and lovely design. The colors are so dreamy, and the ribbon looks gorgeous woven through the lattice. It frames the card so nicely.

Joanne's card has so much beautiful texture. We love how the designer paper peeks through from behind the trellis, and the big, bold flowers are so pretty!

Becky Wall- Becky's Blog
Becky's fun, bright card is so sweet! The woven polka dot paper is a great backdrop for the bold stripes, and wonderfully folded focal point. The buttons along the bottom are a great little finishing touch.

Wonderful cards! Please pick up our Talented Trio award from our sidebar to display on your blog.

Don't forget to enter our current challenge, Au Naturel With a Twist. Entries will be accepted until Friday night at 11:59pm ET.

Au Naturel With a Twist

Whoohoo, it's Saturday!  We're so glad to have you kicking off your weekend with us at Our Creative Corner.  Linda, here, to host this week's challenge.  Thanks to all of you who joined in the fun with us last week for our weaving challenge.  Wasn't that a fun one?  Thanks to Jen Rzasa for bringing us that challenge!

This week, I'm setting you up with a Funkie Junkie favorite - monochromatic.  Not just any monochromatic colors though.  No, I'm asking for all neutrals (and gold/silver or metallics).  The main project must use only pale neutrals (ivory, white, beige, tan, gray) with darker neutrals (dark gray, brown, black) as accents only.  The twist is to include lace and buttons.  Let's see how our talented guest designer and wonderful design team have interrupted this challenge.

Fab Floss Challenge Winners

So glad you could join us for this week's winners post! The design team had a wonderful time checking out everyone's entries for the Fab Floss challenge. Thanks to all who decided to join us!

I'm happy to announce that our Top Talent is none other than.....

So simple, yet so striking! The team absolutely loved Sara's use of embroidery floss- the way it is twisted adds so much interest to the tied knot. Everything about her card design is bold and graphic, and that fuchsia color is fab!

Congrats to Sara- please grab your Top Talent badge from our sidebar to display on your blog, and we'll be contacting you soon with an invitation to be a Guest Designer on a future challenge!

These next 3 wonderful cards make up this week's Talented Trio:

Meihsia's card has such a fantastic layout and design. The house image is lovely, especially when paired with that banner. We loved the way it looks strung on embroidery floss with the perfect little bows on either end.

Wow- Hannah can certainly color! The team loved that gorgeous flower, and all of the interesting texture around it. The embroidery floss border frames the image so nicely, and we liked her use of machine stitching, ribbon, and rhinestone flourishes.

Tracy MacDonald: I Wanna Build a Memory
The team adored Tracy's sweet image and lovely coloring on this card. She made the perfect holes for her floss to weave in and out of with a border punch- very clever! The flowers, patterns, and cute sentiment pull it all together.

Congrats to our Talented Trio- please pick up the award badge from our sidebar to display on your blog.

There's still time to enter our current challenge, the Wonder of Weaving. We are accepting entries until Friday night at 11:59 ET, and we encourage you to play along!

The Wonder of Weaving

Good morning, and welcome back for another challenge! Thanks to everyone who played in my challenge last week- the DT has loved checking out all of the entries, and our winners will be announced on Wednesday.

This is Jen, from Our Change of Art, and this week we will explore the Wonder of Weaving. There are so many ways to use the technique of weaving in your paper crafting. You can weave paper strips, ribbon, decorative trims, felt, fabric etc. This week, weave something into your project!

We have some great inspiration from our Guest Designer, as well as our fantastic design team:
