Bakin' Beauties

Here it is!  My last challenge as hostess.  I hope you enjoy it.  I do tend to make you work outside the box, but this one is pretty easy.  Are you ready?
I'm obsessed with beautiful cookies and 'fancy' cakes!  I always try to make them myself, but generally fall a bit short...  Your challenge this week is to make a creation based on these delish looking treats - the catch?  You MUST use something you would use in baking in your creations.  Get creative - use food coloring, paper liners, or sprinkles.  Know any cool techniques with egg whites, flour or sugar?  You need to explain your 'ingredient' in your description of your creation.

Are you drooling?  Well, let the DT get your mouth watering!

'10' Challenge

Hello All!

It's Kristin here, your long lost DT member!  I really have been around, checking out all your fabulous creations over the last few weeks.  I do however have some sad news, after hosting these next 2 challenges I will be leaving the OCC as a Design Team member.  It has been a great 2 years of challenges and inspirations, working with a group of  very talented women!  These challenges have helped me hone my skills for my magazine and professional works.  Who'da thunk having so much fun would be so beneficial?  Thank you all!

Ok, now on to the challenge!  10 years ago yesterday, I married my amazing hubby.  In honor of a decade of married bliss, my challenge is for you make a creation with either the number 10 in it or it must contain 10 of the same items (ex: buttons, flowers, repeat images). PLEASE - be sure to let us know where your "10" is in your creation!  Don't get overwhelmed - check out all the amazing creations the Design Team came up with.

Favorite Tim Holtz Technique Winner

Hello and thanks for stopping back by today to check out our winner of the Favorite Tim Holtz Technic challenge.  We had some great entries and a tough decision to pick a favorite.  But we did and here is the winning entry by Liliana Inguanti of Crazy About Magnolias.
Lili's card was made with Tim Holtz's Custom Stamp Pad technique.  Look at those gorgeous butterflies.  Lili really achieved exquisite coloration by inking her stamp with her custom stamp pad.  Congratulations Liliana!  Please feel free to download the Top Talent badge from our sidebar to display on your blog.

Thanks to everyone who played along with this challenge.  We had a wonderful time visiting your blogs and learning what your favorite Tim Holtz technique was!  And there is still time to play along with our current challenge Buttons and Bows or Burlap.  Hope to see you there!

Buttons 'n Burlap or Bows

Greetings OCC friends!  So great to have you visiting us today.  A huge thank you to all of last week's participants and visitors.  We loved looking at all your wonderful Tim Holtz techniques and hope you found inspiration from both the team and the participants.

Don't forget, we currently have an open Design Team call.  All the details and the linky to apply are here in this post.

Linda back with you for a second week of hosting challenges.  This week, we are going super simple with just two required ingredients, but they are some of my favorite embellishments - Buttons and  Burlap or Bows (must include buttons and either burlap or bows or both).  Easy peasy and lots of fun, right?  So grab your buttons and your burlap and your bows.  Let's see what you can do!  To get that inspiration flowing, here's the line up of our design team this week.

A Winner for the Embellished Frame Challenge.

Hello Everyone.
Sue back again to announce the Winner of last weeks Challenge.
Thank you so much to you all for your wonderful creations on the 'Embellished Frame Challenge'.
But as always there can only be one Winner:
So well done and congratulations to Mitra  with this amazing creation.

Your 'tart pan' is dramatic, but it does not overpower your frame which you have embellished amazingly with the gorgeous flowers, and even though your centre image it is low key, which is what I was looking for in this Challenge; the frame being the priority.
It is unorthodox and unconventional in it's design; but most certainly a feast for the eyes!
 Congratulations!
PLEASE  feel free to display our Top Talent Award badge on your blog.
There is still time to enter this week's Challenge to check it out click here.
You have until Friday, June 15th at 11:59 EST to link up to the challenge.
Please join us.
Smiles:)
Sue

Linda Coughlin here as hostess.  Before we get to my challenge, I also want to let you know that we will be kicking off a design team call here starting on Monday, June 11th running through June 22nd.  We will have a post up on Monday with all the details and an linky for you to submit your best work.  We will have five open positions and are looking for a wide range of styles from CAS to grunge to shabby chic.  Anyone who has had a blog for six months or longer is welcome to apply so be sure to stop back on Monday for all the deets.
