Fancy Folds Challenge Winner

Welcome back ... a huge big thank you to everyone that played along with us in our Fancy Folds challenge. We had a fantastic turnout and your creations were every bit impressive, creative and totally fancy. Thank you also to those of you who kindly shared your links and tutorials!

It was such a difficult decision to select our Top Talent for the week, but after much deliberation we are happy to announce Michele Spera of Magical Creative Inspiration by Michele Spera.

What an "awesome" centre step card this is, not only does this fold highlight and feature a beautifully coloured image, but how adorable is this little guy all dressed up and ready to do battle - Michele's colouring is superb and she really captures the highlights and lowlights in the image. I also admire all the patterned papers she has used, what a great array of colours, patterns and layers, which all complement and add interest wonderfully. Congratulations Michele on being selected for the Top Talent Award - please feel free to display our badge on your blog.

Don't forget you still have time to play along in our current challenge which is to create a masculine card. It is open for 3 more days. The design team have posted a variety of inspiration pieces, and there are already dozens of entries posted.

Masculine Card/Project

Happy Saturday and welcome back to another challenge week. Thank you to everyone who joined in on the fun last week with our Fancy Folds challenge, you certainly turned up the heat and created some fabulous cards and projects. Stay tuned for the the winners announcement on Wednesday.

Hi, it's Tui here and I am delighted to be hosting this weeks challenge with you again. Masculine cards are the type of cards I have the most difficulty with, therefore my challenge is to create a masculine card or project. However, if you would like a real challenge and to step up the heat a bit try creating a masculine card .... using .... non-traditional masculine colours - plus, any neutrals of your choice.

Tip: Think about using textures, plaid, checks, stripes, argyle, stamped images and sentiments also brads, grommetts, twine, string, burlap, then add the colour - think yellows, oranges, pinks, purples, reds, pastels, and finally add in your neutral. Be creative and have fun!

Fabulous Faces Winner

Wednesday is Winner's Day and time for another Top Talent Award. Thanks to all who participated last week! We're delighted to pass the crown to Jorunn for her stunning entry into our Fabulous Faces challenge.

We loved Jorunn's eye for color and how she embellished her card to flatter the featured face. Her flowers, feather, and lace all drew our attention to her beautiful image. Congratulations, Jorunn! Please take our Top Talent Award button from the sidebar for your blog.

Happy Saturday and welcome to a new OCC challenge! Thank you to everyone who joined in on the Fabulous Faces challenge last week, what a terrific response we had and we enjoyed viewing all of your creations. Stay tuned, the winner will be announced on Wednesday.

I’m Tui Nathan and I’m excited to be hosting here at OCC for the first time. I have chosen the “Fancy Folds” theme for this week.  There are so many different types of fancy folds out there, a lot of which I have seen, loved and even saved to do on a rainy day … but never gotten around to doing!  So now, I am not only challenging myself but also you too, to create a Fancy Fold card!

Totally Transparent Challenge WInner

It's Wednesday and time to award the Top Talent Award...Congratulations are in order for Gwenny for the beautiful card she entered into last week's transparency challenge.  We loved Gwenny's color combo and the way she positioned her main panel, leaving a thin frame of the transparency serving as a see-through window to the red panel below.  The white snowflakes stamped on the transparency are a creative reflection of the red ones on the main panel.

Your creations are truly amazing and we really enjoyed seeing all the different ways people used their transparencies. The winner will be announced on Wednesday!

I've chosen faces as our focus for this week. Show us what you’ve got… whether you like vintage ladies in lace or fresh and funky kids…. steampunk engineers or shabby chic chicks…. even photos of yourself or your family.
