Recipe: Denim with Ribbon or Twine AND Buttons or Brads

Paula here again.  Thanks so much to everyone who played in my Bling Bling with Nature challenge last week!  We were so thrilled to see so many gorgeous entries.  Be sure to check back on Wednesday to see who we have chosen as the Top Talent.

And now on to this week's challenge...I'm an Arkansan. We wear jeans all the time... work, church, play, even weddings. You name it, we can make the denim work. So dress it up or dress it down but use 3 ribbons or twine, 3 buttons or brads, and some denim (either real or faux via printed paper or a technique) on a project.

Bling Bling and an Item from Nature.

Hello All and Welcome Back to those who played along with us last week! Wasn't that a great challenge? I loved the colors, so bright & cheerful! So this is Paula here, one of the newbies to the Design Team, I'm so excited to be on the team! Let's get to it then, my first challenge! I am not a girly girl, I'm mostly found wearing a tee shirt and capris or jeans. But sometimes you just gotta whip out the shiny sparkly stuff & make it dazzle! Use rhinestones, stickles, glitter, etc along with items found in nature (plants, animals, etc)! A bit of bling mixed with nature... my wedding & engagement rings
I cannot believe the awesomeness the other Design Team members came up with... scroll thru them all, my jaw hit the floor!

Color Challenge with a twist

Several weeks ago we introduced the new design team members and now it is time to say a sad goodbye to the team members who are leaving us. We have so enjoyed all their individual contributions to our weekly mojo inspiration. We will sorely miss these wonderful artists. We thank them and wish all the best to:

So let's wipe our tears and get on to this week's challenge! I'm Lori Rider, back to host again this week. Thanks to everyone who played along with last week's makeover challenge - it was fun to see you join in the transformation process! This week we will be doing a color challenge with a bit of a twist:

I loved these fun round fabric buttons (I found them on Pinterest but the link to the original source was broken) so I thought it would be a great challenge to use the colors with either fabric or circles - or both, if you wish! (By fabric I mean actual fabric, not ribbon or other fibers. Sorry for any confusion.) Let's move on to our team samples:

Color Challenge Top Talent

Welcome to our challenge site, and we are always happy and thrilled to have you visit and participate with our weekly challenges.  We are especially glad that you have stopped by today, to see who are Top Talent goes to in our previous color challenge.  We asked that you use Navy, Pink, and any color of your choose, just not a neutral (black, white, brown, or cream).  We were excited to see all the entries and the creative color combos.  But, we were just blown away by the attention to detail and creativity by LeAnne @ WEEinklings.  Congratulations!

LeAnne, created a sympathy card with elements of love, and peace.  To stamp the frame and sentiment right onto the pattern paper was both creative and bold.  We loved the fussy cut images and that crinkled seam binding.   What a truly gorgeous card, and a wonderful color choice: Rose Red.  Here is your Top Talent badge, and we hope you display it on your blog.  Thank you for participating in our weekly challenge!

It is not too late to participate in our current weekly challenge: What Not to Stamp; a card make-over challenge.  There is still time to WOW us, and show us just how far you have come in your creative paper talents!  So, create, and participate!  It will provide us with an opportunity to visit your blog and see your talents!
