Office Supplies With A Twist!

Firstly, welcome to our new challenge for the coming week! I hope you enjoy creating a project for this week as much as our Design Team has. And we would like to thank everyone for their fabulous entries for last week's challenge. It was such a great challenge and it certainly got us creating outside of our usual comfort zones. As usual we will be announcing our winner on Wednesday, so be sure and check back then to see who it is! And now onto this coming week's challenge....

We all have bits and pieces floating around that belong in the office, yes? - Staples, Post-it Notes, String, Sticky Tape - the list goes on! This week we would like you to use your imagination and come up with a fabulous creation using these common items. BUT! And here's the twist, I want to see the color RED. Lots and lots of RED! Go bold and wow me with your fabulous designs!

NB. Neutral colors are allowed ie. black, white, cream, kraft, grey and browns - but your card must feature the color RED.

I have taken an inspiration photo to get us all in the mood! And check out these FABULOUS creations our special guest and in house design team have come up with! These are sure to inspire you to create something fabulous of your own!

Everyone is welcome to play along at any time. If you upload your card/project to SCS, please use the keyword OCCC. Our only requirement is that your project be a new project and not back-linked to a project made before this challenge started.

Recipe: Denim with Ribbon or Twine AND Buttons or Brads

Paula here again.  Thanks so much to everyone who played in my Bling Bling with Nature challenge last week!  We were so thrilled to see so many gorgeous entries.  Be sure to check back on Wednesday to see who we have chosen as the Top Talent.

And now on to this week's challenge...I'm an Arkansan. We wear jeans all the time... work, church, play, even weddings. You name it, we can make the denim work. So dress it up or dress it down but use 3 ribbons or twine, 3 buttons or brads, and some denim (either real or faux via printed paper or a technique) on a project.

Winner - Color Challenge with a Twist

I'm here to announce the winner of our color challenge with a twist (using fabric and/or circles). Thanks to everyone who joined in the challenge - it sounds like you all enjoyed the color combo, which makes me happy, and I know we were all happy to see what you came up with! Without further ado, the winner is...

Lynn Put of The Queen's Scene! This card shows all the best of clean and simple style, with a fabulous graphic look and wonderful use of the challenge colors. The button circles make a great statement and those poppies are simply gorgeous! Congratulations to Lynn and thanks again to everyone who played. It's not too late to check out our current "Bling + Nature" challenge - we hope you'll join us!

Bling Bling and an Item from Nature.

Hello All and Welcome Back to those who played along with us last week! Wasn't that a great challenge? I loved the colors, so bright & cheerful! So this is Paula here, one of the newbies to the Design Team, I'm so excited to be on the team! Let's get to it then, my first challenge! I am not a girly girl, I'm mostly found wearing a tee shirt and capris or jeans. But sometimes you just gotta whip out the shiny sparkly stuff & make it dazzle! Use rhinestones, stickles, glitter, etc along with items found in nature (plants, animals, etc)! A bit of bling mixed with nature... my wedding & engagement rings
I cannot believe the awesomeness the other Design Team members came up with... scroll thru them all, my jaw hit the floor!
