Keep Your Cool Color Challenge - Blues & Greens

Greetings friends of the OCC. We're so glad you dropped by for our last challenge in June. Thank you so much to those of you who played along with us in our Case an OCC girl challenge. Wasn't it fun? We really enjoyed seeing which of our prior creations you cased. Here is a sample we especially enjoyed this week and we wanted to feature the designer, Angella Crockett of Body, Mind, Spirit and Stamps blog.




Our sponsor this week is relatively new digital stamp company, Isabella's Sketchbook. Despite being a young company, there are over 250 beautifully drawn digital images in the Isabella's Sketchbook Digi Boutique. Isabella, the owner and artist, is offering 3 digital stamps to one random winner of this week's challenge. In order to qualify for the prize, you must have your entry uploaded to our blog by 10 p.m. EST on Friday, July 2nd.

Since this is the last June challenge, it will be our June hostess' last week to set our challenge. This week Linda Coughlin wants us to use the cool colors of blue and green on our projects. Summer is really heating up so this week, let’s chill out and keep our cool with those nice cooling colors.

Our Creative Corner - Case an OCC Girl

Hello OCC friends. It's Saturday again and we have a wonderful challenge for you this week. We're so happy you have stopped by to see what's happening here at Our Creative Corner. Thanks to everyone who participated in last week's Gotcha Cornered challenge. There were so many fabulous entries. Before we tell you about this week's challenge, we want to spotlight our featured artist Patricia Garcia. Here is her wonderful creation. Hope you will stop by her blog to see more of her lovely work.


And now on to this week's challenge. We’ve got some great talent here (if we do say so ourselves!). This week our hostess, Linda Coughlin, is challenging us to case an OCC girl. Go ahead, surf our blogs and check out our on-line galleries (links on our sidebar). Find a card you like and case it, changing at least two things. Include in your post a link to the cased project and let us know what you changed. This should be lots of fun and we can't wait to see your entries this week.

Linda cased Sarah Gough with this beauty, changing the stamp sets used, the orientation of the ribbon and flipping the sentiment panel.


Diane Gilbert ~ My Little Stampin' Spot! Diane cased Sarah Gough with this beautiful card, changing the colors, the sentiment and did not add the ribbon.

Jennifer Meyer ~ Jennifer's Sweet Designs. Jennifer cased Wendy Janson's yummy card and layout - She changed the colors, used a different border punch and also flipped the sketch. Please stop by my Blog for a chance to win this card.

Dana picked this great card from Wendy Janson. She added some yellow, switched the pearls to rhinestones, used a different edge punch and changed the sentiment.

Julie Leblanc~Kewlstamps-n-more
Julie cased this card from Dana by doing a digital card, using ribon instead of a strip of dp, changing the shape of the yellow paper and adding a flower brad in lieu of a paper flower.

Lori picked this card from Sarah Gough. She flipped the layout, changed the colors and images, and used piercing instead of stitching.

Our Creative Corner - Gotcha Cornered

Hello friends and welcome back to another challenge with Our Creative Corner. We had a terrific response to our summer inspiration challenge last week. Thanks to all our participants for sharing their beautiful work with us. Our featured artist this week is Lynne from Cards from Lynne's Loft. Our Creative Corner - Summer Inspiration

Hello and welcome! We're so glad you stopped by to visit with us this week. Last week's black and white challenge entries were just sensational and we want to thank all those who joined in the fun with us! This week we want to spotlight Andrea of EwenStyle Blog as our featured designer. Here is her wonderful entry in black and white. Be sure to stop by her blog and see more of her lovely work.

A new month brings us a new hostess here at Our Creative Corner. This month, Linda Coughlin has some fun challenges lined up for us. It’s the good old summertime – a time for the beach, picnics, patriotic parades, yummy summer foods, seasonal fruits and so much more. Reach back to the traditional summers of your childhood.
