Make Your Own Background

Welcome back to
 Our Creative Corner.
Hello everyone Susan here......and do I have a Challenge for you!!!!!!!!
I will warn you in advance, it could be messy and you will not require a manicurist this week to paint your nails, with my technique it will be free of charge, albeit I cannot guarantee that every nail will be the same colour!!!!

A big thank you to all who participated in Marcy's 'Silhouette' challenge last week.
Do not forget to check next Wednesday to see if you are the winner, if you are the lucky one, then you will be spotlighted as our Top Talent and I can tell you that our previous recipients of this award have loved every minute of being in the spotlight.
Okay....

 Here is the next challenge:

'Make your own Background'

(Absolutely no patterned paper allowed!)

For those of you who may be unaware of techniques or haven't attempted such a task, pop over to my Blog (scrumplescrunch). where I have provided a written tutorial for you. It is not difficult and the results are just amazingly beautiful.
First thing you have to do is decide whether you are a Pablo Picasso- and delve into mixed-media which involves paint, inks, glue, newspaper-clippings, photographs; in fact anything that you can lay your hands on to make it work visually.
Or do you lean toward Paul Cezanne- water-colours-(you are allowed to use Distress Inks as your watercolour medium) to set your scene, mood and connection to your project.
Try not to cover up your background too much with your focal image, allow everyone to view it in all it's splendour.

No 1-Mixed media background.
Susan - scrumplescrunch
 No 2- Watercolour-background.
