Crafty Individuals Sponsor Spotlight

Hi everyone!

I am so thrilled to bring you the first of our Spotlight's for August!
Our Sponsor this month is .....

To make this Sponsor Spotlight creation I chose these gorgeous summery themed stamps

I decided to make a tag - using an MDF booklet page

I started by cutting out some card to fit the MDF page. I stamped some of the images in Potting Soil Archival ink on separate card and then dabbed them with some Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo DI.

I then painted them with some matte multi-medium and left them to dry.

I also used a heart that had been cut from printed paper and had a quote from the stamp sets stamped on it with Potting Soil Archival ink.

I covered the card tag with some Distress Paints that had been smooshed all over the craft mat and spritzed with water. I used Vintage Photo, Weathered Wood and Picket Fence.

I then cut out the stamped images and stuck all the images onto the tag. I covered the whole tag with Picket Fence DP. Spritzed lightly with water and dabbed the paint from the images with a wipe, this gave a mottled sky effect to the tag background and added a faded vintage look to the stamped images.

I then stamped with my favourite script stamp in Vintage Photo DI and Potting Soil Archival ink.

I added some Tea Dye Distress embossing powder over multi-medium and when dry I brushed off any excess.

I added some more glue and attached some micro beads

I dabbed around the edges of the tag with Vintage Photo DI and gave the whole tag a light spritz of White Linen Dylusion spray. Then I added the last of the stamp cut outs that had been dabbed with Distress ink.

Knotted twine was added along the bottom of the tag and below the beach huts

A double looped string of twine formed the bow at the top of that tag..........

I then glued the card tag onto the MDF page and there is my summer themed tag! Another creation to hopefully inspire you to take part in our Summertime challenge!

Thanks so much for being here! Come and join us in the Summertime theme challenge this month! You could be our winner and be invited to be our Top Talent! You could be one of our Top 3 or even win the summer themed goodies that Crafty Individuals have kindly donated!
