OCC Stitching Challenge

Hello everyone, and welcome to Our Creative Corner! Thanks to all who have participated in the chipboard challenge last week. We would also like to remind all of you of a mid-week challenge that will continue until Tuesday, September 30th called "Case the OCC Girls". One lucky winner from this week's mid-week challenge participants will be awarded some fun NEW paper from My Mind's Eye called "Be Merry". To be entered into the drawing, we ask you to have your card linked up here in the comments section by Tuesday, September 30th. We'll draw a random name from the entries and announce the winner on Wednesday, October 1st.

Our Creative Corner would like to welcome a special guest designer for the week, Michelle Rodgers of Stamper's Dream. Not only has she put together a sample for this week's challenge, but she's also sponsoring the OCC with a prize!! Take a look:

Case The OCC & Giveaway

Hello OCC friends! All of your cards for the Chipboard challenge are amazing - we love when you play along with us! Just for fun we thought we would do a mid-week challenge called "Case the OCC" along with a fun giveaway. OCC Chipboard Challenge

Hello OCC friends! Thanks to all who played in last week's sketch challenge. Everything looked amazing! This week's challenge, brought to us by our September host, Amy Sheffer, is to incorporate chipboard into your project. If you don't have "real" chipboard, try punching shapes out of an empty cereal box or the cardboard backing of a notepad. There is no time limit on our challenges - feel free to participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave us a comment linking to your project so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.

OCC Laugh It Up Challenge

Hello OCC friends! You all have been rockin' our challenges week after week - we love when you play along with us!

A big thanks to our August host Dawn Easton. Today, we introduce our September host, Amy Sheffer. Before we get to her challenge, we have to let you in on a little secret. Amy is celebrating a birthday this week, and it's a big one - FORTY. We keep telling her it's just a number and that we're only as old as we feel. All she says is "rubbish." Hmmm ... taking it a little poorly, Amy?

Her challenge for us is to make a humorous card. (We think she's counting on everyone to keep her laughing instead of crying this week!) You can use a funny sentiment or image or find a creative, humorous way to use your stamps. Have fun with this one! If you don't have anything humorous, just choose a cute image or sentiment instead. Anything that makes you smile will make us smile too! When you're ready to play along just upload your project to your blog or gallery, then leave us a link here, so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, use keyword: OCCC.

What would a birthday be without presents? Next Friday at noon EST, we'll be choosing one random participant to receive a JustRite DIY Monogram Stamper Kit - Special Occasions Font. This little kit, made by the folks at JustRite, includes almost everything you'll need to make your own 1-, 2-, or 3-letter monograms: a large alphabet set, two medium alphabet sets, three elegant borders, and a wooden stamp mount. The only things you'll need to add are ink and paper!
